1.Safety Covid-19 prevention and the safety of students. English-Please takes the safety of its students and staff very seriously. For this reason, this is why English-Please has decided to follow governmental recommendations and guidelines to temporarily change from physical lessons to online lessons. Everyone’s safety is important and we all need to do our part to ensure each other’s safety. But don’t worry, when the government gives everyone the “all clear”, we will resume face-to-face lessons as soon as possible. 2.Curriculum Students will still learn all the curriculum. Although teaching and learning will be done online, the lesson will still be done in the English-Please way. 3.Save Time Online lessons require a little less time investment. Did you hear that mummies and daddies? You will be able to save a little time and have a little less stress! For our adult students, you won’t have to rush to English-Please! after work anymore. You might even be able to get a bite to eat before your lesson starts. And think about the fact that there will be less people driving their cars which is always going to be a good thing for nature. Many news agencies have shown satellite images of the reduction of carbon dioxide due to people just simply staying at home. 4.Developing Core Skills In the classroom many teachers rely on visual cues as well as spoken. After all, body language is something that people naturally use to express themselves. With online lessons students (child and adult) must focus more on what the teacher is saying (listening) and what they are being shown (reading) rather than reading the teacher’s body language. Body language is an important part of learning but to have it temporarily taken away for a short time is hugely beneficial to a students listening and reading development. Online lessons force a student to focus their attention, focus their listening, and focus their eyes whilst also learning discipline and how to remain focused. 5.Computer Skills Our children are going to have to learn things that previous generations could never dream of having to learn. One of those new skills is computer skills, and with English-Please doing online lessons, this gives students a chance to become more familiar, comfortable and tech savvy. As for us adults, we have to learn a vast array of computer skills which is met is varing degrees of success, so keep trying. No one masters a new skill with only one try, remember the phrase “practice makes perfect”?
