Hello everyone. This is just a reminder for those of you who are still taking classes over Zoom – or for those who are thinking of starting up online classes again – that for the best Zoom experience you need to keep the application up to date. We here at English-Please! always download and install the latest Zoom updates once they become available. If you are finding you are having connection problems, things are running slower than exected during your online lessons, or you are experiencing any other issues you cannot explain, it could be you are not running the latest version of Zoom.
Updating Zoom is very easy but the method of getting the latest updates will differ depending on how you use Zoom. If you are using it from a desktop computer, be it a PC or a Mac, you can check for updates within the application. After signing in, click on the avatar image in the top right-hand corner, then click on “Check for Updates”. A pop-up window will then open, either telling you that you are running the latest version of Zoom or that an update is available. Click “Update” and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version.
If you are using Zoom on a tablet or smartphone, you can update the Zoom app the same way you update any other app. For iOS users, go in to the App Store and find the Zoom application in the list of apps installed on your device. If it appears with the word “Update” next to it, tap “Update” and the latest version will be installed. For Android users, go in to the Google Play Store, find the Zoom app listed and tap “Update”.
And that’s all there is to it. If you don’t keep the Zoom application updated, you will probably still be okay to use it for online lessons. However, it is good practice to keep all the applications you use regularly up to date, and it should help to limit the number of problems you encounter while taking lessons online. Zoom のアップデートは非常に簡単ですが、最新のアップデートを取得する方法は Zoom の使用方法によって異なります。デスクトップコンピュータ（PC または Mac）から使用している場合は、アプリケーション内で更新を確認することができます。サインイン後、右上のアバター画像をクリックし、「更新情報を確認する」をクリックします。ポップアップウィンドウが開き、最新バージョンのZoomを使用しているか、アップデートが利用可能であることを知らせてくれます。アップデート」をクリックし、画面の指示に従って最新バージョンをインストールします。
タブレットやスマートフォンでZoomを使用している場合は、他のアプリをアップデートするのと同じ方法でZoomアプリをアップデートすることができます。iOSユーザーの場合は、App Storeに入り、端末にインストールされているアプリの一覧からZoomアプリを探します。その横に「更新」と表示されている場合は、「更新」をタップすると、最新バージョンがインストールされます。Androidユーザーの場合は、Google Playストアに入り、リストに表示されているZoomアプリを見つけ、「アップデート」をタップします。
これだけで完了です。Zoomアプリをアップデートしておかなくても、オンラインレッスンで使う分には問題ないかもしれませんが、定期的に使用するすべてのアプリケーションを最新の状態に保つことは良い習慣であり、オンラインレッスンを受けている間に遭遇する問題の数を制限するのに役立つはずです。それではまたZoomroomsでお会いしましょう。
