| I would like to point out how well the group in my Friday EY! class has been doing lately. Everyone comes to class prepared and ready to speak English. I feel like I’m sitting down for afternoon tea with these three fine ladies as we talk about topics such as the living in the city, watching television, and gambling. I have heard S-san use idioms such as “concrete jungle” while explaining her views about city life. I am often impressed by A-san’s turn of phrase as she uses natural adjuncts to make her sentences more informative and precise. K-san is a natural conversationalist and adds humor into her dialogue, making the conversation more interesting and enjoyable. I am proud of how often these students use idioms, advanced vocabulary, and difficult grammatical structures to push their English abilities to the next level. Great job, everyone!
